Clear Net Zero

We are committed to achieving Net Zero by 2030, by reducing our carbon footprint by 30% from a 2019 baseline.

We are the first insurance broker to set this commitment through the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).

We recognise the need to address environmental challenges, so strive to be steadfast in our efforts to minimise our ecological footprint for future generations.

We have started our journey of positive impact by becoming carbon neutral through the purchase of carbon credits, which help finance clean energy projects in emerging countries through ClimateCare.

Through innovation and continuous improvement, we aim to:

  • Reduce our carbon emissions and energy consumption
  • Optimise our resource usage by minimising waste
  • Source sustainable materials and promote responsible supply chain practices.

Dan Future

Our commitment to the future

"We carefully considered the impact that we want to have on the world and recognise it is imperative to reduce our carbon emissions significantly.

We saw that the best way to do this was through a credible process aligned to science, which is exactly what the SBTi offers. We can only encourage other SMEs and large businesses alike to develop a science-based net zero strategy."

Valuing people

We are dedicated to contributing long-term value to society by putting social responsibilities at the core of our business strategy, and committing to the highest standards of ethical conduct in all that we do.

We aim to:

  • Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace that values individual's contributions

  • Prioritise the health, safety and personal growth of our employees

  • Engage with our communities through charitable initiatives, volunteering and partnerships

  • Work with likeminded organisations where possible

We pledge to:

  • Uphold these standards with integrity and accountability in every interaction

  • Actively engage with our stakeholders through clear lines of communication; listening to their feedback and including this in our decision-making

  • Include our board of management as they play an integral role in ensuring that our business strategy aligns with our ESG goals.

In 2024, we partnered with Mind as our charity of the year, and we're continuing this partnership in 2025. Mind is the leading mental health charity across England and Wales, making mental health an everyday priority. We are actively fundraising for Mind with employees hosting events and getting involved with challenges. As well as Mind, we also support a number of local charities through donations and sponsorship of various events.

We are a Living Wage Employer. This ensures our employees receive fair compensation that covers the real cost of living in the area they work. Embracing the living wage demonstrates our commitment to ethical business and social responsibility, fostering a more equitable workplace and positive contribution to the community.

The role of the Board of Directors is to effectively govern the affairs of the company for the benefit of its shareholders and other stakeholders. This includes the Clear Group's employees, customers, suppliers, and the communities in which it does business. The Board strive to ensure the success and longevity of the Clear Group by appointing capable leadership, and through ongoing oversight to ensure that all business activities are conducted in a legal, responsible and ethical manner.
