We're delighted to share with you that Simon Smith joins today as our new Group Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Simon brings over 20 years’ experience from several leadership roles in major insurance businesses and a proven track record of driving operational excellence and strategic growth.
Simon has held key leadership positions including 10 years with Willis Towers Watson, and most recently four years with SwissRe. His impressive track record and experience has seen him successfully deliver multiple large-scale projects, optimise operational processes, and foster innovative and collaborative cultures.
In his new role, Simon will be responsible for Operations, IT and Data, Integrations, Claims, and Facilities and Procurement. He'll work closely with business leaders to ensure we continue to deliver exceptional value to our customers and stakeholders as well as driving our strategic initiatives forward.
He takes over the role of Group Chief Operating Officer following the appointment of Phil Williams to Group Chief Commercial Officer and Retail MD in November 2024, and will work as part of the executive board to deliver on its strategic ambitions.
